section error

Michael — Mar 10, 2012 07:18AM MST

I'm getting an error when clicking the next button, The message comes up in a red table form. With the message:

Error:
Please select at least one date.
Please select a quantity.

This form was working but after a few times of clicking around, it started sending this error. Please see the below ilk to review.

Hi Michael.

Hmm, interesting. I just went in and clicked around all over the place but could not reproduce it. Do you recall the steps that you took?

Thanks, Abel

I did everything as I would for the other form. This has happened a few times. It works and then all of the sudden it stops. Im not sure why.

Ok. I will be clicking away to see if I can make it happen. As soon as I find the issue, I will put a fix in place.

Hi Michael.

I just looked and I can finally see the errors happening for me. But it makes no sense at this point. I think there is an issue with session management on your server. Would you mind giving me temporary ftp access to the just plugins folder? With FTP access, I can troubleshoot and figure out what is happening in 5-10 minutes. Again, it can be a temporary, limited ftp access to the plugins folder so that I can turn on and look at some logs. Please let me know.

Thanks, Abel

Hi Michael.

Just wanted to share my findings with others.

It looks like the upcoming events widgets in the left sidebar was affecting the internal caching of event details. This has been fixed in v1.2.

Thanks, Abel

Abel,

I'm getting a similar complaint from someone who tried to register on our site. He says it doesn't work on his PC (running WindowsXP, in Firefox and IE) but it does work on his Apple (Firefox and Safari). It's working fine on my machine. We're using the latest version of the plugin, so I don't know that it's the same problem as described above. Any ideas?

(BTW, when I went in after you putzed around on my site, suddenly the fields were working--go figure!)

Thanks!
Emily

Turns out he had cookies disabled in some of his browsers and that's why he couldn't complete registration. Sigh.

Hi Emily.

Ah, thank you. Yeah, there are some very unique things that happen and they almost always end up being an issue with the end use :)

Thanks, Abel

We are using version 1.3.2 the lite version trying to decide if we should purchase the pro version... and we are having the same problem... as well as it not showing up well or working in certain browsers. Please let us know if there is something we can change or if this is functioning and can be guaranteed in the Pro version.
Thank you.

Hi Rebecca.

With the huge number of theme and plugin combinations, these things are bound to happen. In your case, I am not sure what is happening but can take a look and let you know. The Pro is vastly superior to the lite version and am sure will not cause these issues. You can take the Pro for a test drive by following instructions on www.wpeventsplanner.com/test-drive-events-planner-pro/

Please let me know if you have other questions.

Thanks, Abel
