Mailchimp intigration stopped working?

Admittedly I'm using an old verson of PRO (2.1.0) but I daren't upgrade as we've heavily customised the plugin but it looks like the Mailchimp integration stopped working at the end of July. I suspect this is to do with the changes Mailchimp made "Beginning on July 30, HTTP calls will automatically redirect to HTTPS". This is no doubt working in the current version of PRO but is there an easy fix to get it working again in 2.1.0?

Better start looking for a new solution. This guy is a joke!
